Kate spent wayyyyy too many hours in the basement of UC Berkeley studying slides for her Art History major. One of her favorite movements (which she also wrote her thesis on) was about The Bauhaus which was an art movement stemming from an Art School- from 1913 to 1933. The Bauhaus movement was known for merging all artistic mediums into one unified approach combining individual artistry and mass production and function. Bauhaus design is known for it's abstract, angular, and geometric touches with some ornamentation thrown in as well. The feature wall in this room is incredible and the touch of rich green in the carpet makes it a dream...we LOVE this room!
